SUMMARY / COMMENTARY:

*Teaching Mrs. Tingle* (R) -- previously "Killing Mrs. Tingle" for May 99 *Teaching Mrs. Tingle* was just another malcontent teen show given to manufactured justification for taking illegal control to get revenge on the 'oppressive establishment.'

A severely bitter history teacher was extremely abusive both verbally and academically to her senior high school class -- and apparently to ALL her classes of 20 years. In an achievement and verbal war between the two who vie for valedictortian, vicious rivalry led to cheating, lying, abduction, attempted murder, extortion, blackmail and a plethora of other illegal and violent behaviors in an attempt to rectify being trapped by pedagogical authority.

While there was no visible nudity, there were examples of teens necking in underwear and in covered nudity in a sequence of sexual intercourse. Sexual aggression by teens was portrayed as was dressing to maximize the female form and skin exposure. Teen talk of killing a teacher, of covering up illegal behavior, and of conspiracy to commit abduction were among the morality invasions of this movie. Plotting to kill, attempted murder, and threats to kill were rampant. The whole a gambit of material inappropriate for children, including teens, was amply presented. There were no guns, though, as if to absolve the movie of any responsibility and accountability, I suppose.

(1) As noted in CAP Special Report-001, "Investigation Area and Scoring Trend," of the six CAP Investigation Areas, Impudence/Hate was the strongest presence in all four movie classifications. It has a strong revelation about the entertainment media.
