It Takes Two was wonderfully free of notable material in Wanton Violence/Crime, Drugs/Alcohol, and Murder/Suicide. However, as predicted by CAP Special Report-0001, Investigation Area Scoring and Trend, this PG movie was typical to the style of PG movies. Impunity/Hate suffered badly due to, for example, child arrogance toward righteous and loving authority, lying, the use of "I'm gonna kill you" plus variations of it, and bad language(1). Sex/Homosexuality took some hits due to too much cleavage, exposure of underwear, a wet sweater revealing the details of female anatomy, and a female crawling onto a bed between a man's legs with her hands on his thighs. Offense to God suffered painfully due to the use of God's name in vain(2), though without the three/four letter word vocabulary.

The ChildCare Action Project findings for It Takes Two are as follows.

It Takes Two CAP Thermometers
In accordance with the comparative baseline data, It Takes Two was equivalent to R material in Impunity/Hate and Offense to God. It was equivalent to PG-13 material in Sex/Homosexuality. It Takes Two was equivalent to G material in Wanton Violence/Crime, Drugs/Alcohol, and Murder/Suicide.

Below is the table showing the scoring in each of the Investigation Areas plus the Final Score drawn from the actual CAP Report. In addition, the number of examples per hour of unacceptable material in each of the Investigation Areas is provided.

It Takes Two CAP Scorecard

(1) As noted in CAP Special Report-0001, "Investigation Area Scoring and Trend," Impunity/Hate was the strongest presence in all four movie classifications. I pray you will find time to read Special Report-0001. It has a strong revelation about the entertainment media.

(2) The use of the three/four letter word vocabulary is incorporated into the Impunity/Hate Investigation Area. The use of God's name in vain with and without the three/four letter word vocabulary is incorporated into the Offense to God Investigation Area.
