The Client suffered the hardest loss in Impunity/Hate, mainly due to foul language by a child, while some loss was due to impunity and anger by the child toward authority and his mother. Wanton Violence/Crime lost heavily due to the proliferation of violence, particularly toward a child. Offense to God suffered mainly due to the use of God's or Jesus' name in vain (not included in Impunity/Hate under foul language).

Verbal intimidation with threat of violence to a child and visual evidence of a threat of murder of a child (a knife in the child's back and a gun pointed at the child point-blank) blackened the value of The Client. That the child was placed in a dangerous situation which his age group should not be expected to handle darkened the value of the movie even further.

A man was trying to commit suicide by hosing car exhaust fumes into his closed car. When discovered by a child trying to save the man, he forced the child into the car with him. In the struggle and the ensuing dialogue, the boy was offered a gun in hopes he would kill the man so the man would not have to kill himself.

The ChildCare Action Project findings for The Client are as follows.
